The Nissen Fundoplication procedurehas traditionally required two devices.; the first device to deflate the stomach and the second to stent the esophagus. The two-step procedure can be tedious, time-consuming, vulnerable to mistakes and may be damaging to the esophagus.

This device is designed to consolidate the procedure into one step that is more efficient for the surgery and safer for the patient.
